All learner moped, scooter and motorcycle riders must complete a CBT, delivered by a DSA approved training school, before riding on the road*.

CBT is a training day, not a test and gives you the basics to ride on the road unaccompanied. It can be done at age sixteen on a 50cc moped/ scooter or a 125cc motorcycle at age seventeen and above. All you need is a valid UK driving licence, full or provisional, we supply everything else. An understanding of ‘The Highway Code’ is essential, we will check your knowledge, if it is not to a satisfactory standard, the course will not go ahead and your fees will be forfeited. At Leeds Motorcycle Training Ltd, when someone books and pays for a training course they have entered into a contract with LMT (Leeds Motorcycle Training Ltd) to attend on the day or days at the required time agreed at the time of booking, and also bring a valid UK driving licence, full or provisional and be able to read a number plate at the correct distance. If they fail to turn up at the correct time or do not turn up at all without sufficient notice we operate a policy which is the same as the DVSA; the Government Agency that conducts testing and permits us to do business as an approved training school to teach people to ride, in that they will forfeit any fees they have paid.
